Dear guests, we are pleased to announce that Camping Orlando in Chianti will officially open the season May 26th with bungalows Diamond and the area reserved for tents, caravans and campers. Since June 9th, this year, a rich offer of new accommodation: mobile home, lodge tents and relax tents , and renewed services (restaurant, pizzeria, bar, ice cream shop, terrace and roof garden), all in the beautiful scenery of the Chianti! Welcome, the Orlando in Chianti team. The Camping Orlando in Chianti is open from April 23rd to October 23th is immersed in the green of a oaks wood on the hills (720 mt. above sea level) of the Monti del Chianti. The Campsite offers 140 completely shady pitches, a mini-market and a bar with barbecue and pizzeria facilities, 2 groups of bathrooms, a camperservice and news of 2011 two new heated swimming pool one for adults (10x20mt) and one for children, open from June to October. In a separated area of the campsite 10 family wooden bungalows (about 30 m2) are available. A bungalow consists of 2 double bedrooms, a sitting room with kitchenette, a bathroom with the shower and a veranda, completely equipped. Near the campsite (1 Km) is the Park of Cavriglia with a variegated fauna and flora: it’s possibile to meet moufflons, deers, roe deers, but also llamas. In the Park there are a Paddock with donkies and ponies of different breeds, suited for rides in the wood, 2 tennis courts, a minigolf and play grounds for children. The Park is crossed by numerous trekking paths: the most important among them is the path n° 00 of CAI which links Florence to Siena. From the campsite it’s easy to reach the most important Tuscan art cities, such as Florence, Siena, Arezzo and San Gimignano that are 35-40 Km far away. We are also the starting point for excursions in the Chianti region following historical, cultural, wine tasting and gastronomic itineraries, such as Radda in Chianti, Volpaia and Badia a Coltibuono (5-10 Km), Greve in Chianti and Panzano (20 Km); but in a few minutes you can reach other castles, abbeys, churches and farms of this beautiful region.
