The Camping Village il Sole is at the heart of the Tuscan Maremma a short walk from the sea at the edge of the Maremma national park and the Tuscan Archipelago national park (Giglio, Elba, Giannutri, Montecristo, etc.). The area has many sites and towns of historical-archaeological significance, going back to the Etruscan age, Roman times and the Middle-Ages, for example Pitigliano, Vetulonia, Roselle, Massa Marittima, Castiglione della Pescaia. The region also has many places and landscapes that are still wild and unpolluted. A few kilometres away you can admire beaches acknowledged to be among Italy's most beautiful (Cala Violina, Cala di Forno, Rocchette), and a number of Europe's most well known natural parks and nature reserves (Diaccia Botrona, Laguna di Orbetello, Lago di Burano, etc.). The Camping Village Il Sole nestles in the shade of an ancient pine forest about 900 metres from the sea and from the village of Marina di Grosseto and has a surface area of about 7 hectares. It has large shaded pitches, bungalows and mobile homes. Booking is not required for pitches and seasonal contracts among the cheapest available can be arranged. To move around, there are pleasant cycle-footpaths through the pine forest, but of course you can also use your car. We also have a free shuttle service to the sea and the village of Marina di Grosseto. The price of the pitch includes: free Wi-Fi, hot water, parking and electricity (although in the mid and high seasons the pitch power facilities cost €2). The camp site has been environmentally friendly for many years now, collaborating with the sector's Italian organisations and obtaining the main international acknowledgements (ISO 14001 and EMAS certifications). Small sized pets are admitted (maximum 9 kg). The camp site offers activities for all ages, including babyclub, which runs from the last week of June to the first of September. For entertainment and recreation we have: a swimming pool, barbecue, picnic areas, football pitches and volleyball courts, table tennis. Within a radius of 1 km there is: a mini golf, horse riding, tennis courts and football pitches, a marina and all the tourist-retail services in the lovely village of Marina di Grosseto. We have a bathing establishment that we offer our customers at great prices, with adjoining swimming pool, restaurant-pizzeria, activities. On request, the management organises tourist fishing days and excursions of all kinds (environmental, historical, wine tasting and gourmet, etc.). The Bungalows are small wooden chalets with furnished veranda of approximately 50m2 overall size. The mobile homes have a surface area of 25m2 + 15m2 of furnished veranda. Some have two bathrooms with shower and others have air-conditioning.
